Common problems
Nearby says it's using a default or approximate location
Govvy asks your browser for location only when you switch to Nearby. If you dismissed or blocked the prompt, allow location for govvy.live in your browser's site settings and switch to Nearby again. A green dot on the pin in the search bar means your GPS is being used; amber is an approximate network location; red is the default city.
“Daily usage limit reached”
Govvy is free and shares a daily AI budget across everyone. Limits reset each day (India time). In the meantime the reviewed guides always work, and cached answers to common questions still load.
An answer looks wrong or out of date
Answers are AI-assisted and can be wrong. Check the source shown on the card (official hosts carry a shield) and confirm fees and deadlines on the official portal. Then tap the flag icon on that card — it sends the answer to us for review — or email with a link to the search.
I can't see my language
Use the globe menu at the top right (or the language strip on the home page). Govvy speaks English, Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Odia, Assamese, Sinhala and Urdu. If parts of an answer come back in English, the source itself was English-only.
Voice input does nothing
Speech recognition depends on the browser: it works in Chrome, Edge and Safari, not in every in-app browser. Allow microphone access when prompted, and speak after the icon turns red.
My saved guides or progress disappeared
Saved items, recent searches and step progress live in your browser's local storage — they don't sync between devices and are removed if you clear site data or use a private window.
I registered my business but the listing isn't live
Listings go live after a manual review, usually within 24–48 hours of payment. Sign in to the vendor dashboard to see the status; if it has been longer than two working days, email us with your registered phone number.
