What Govvy is

Govvy (govvy.live) is a free information service that helps people understand Indian government procedures, find nearby offices and services, and learn about laws and schemes. It is operated by Prakhar Tomar, Bengaluru, India. By using it you agree to these terms.

Not a government service, not advice

Govvy is independent and has no affiliation with any government body. It does not file, pay or submit anything on your behalf; the actual process always happens on the official portal or at the office we point you to.

Content is for general information only. It is not legal, tax, financial or professional advice, and it does not create any professional relationship.

AI-assisted answers

Answers are generated with the help of an AI model and grounded in official sources where possible. They can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Govvy shows sources and retrieval times so you can check them, and it tells you when it cannot verify something. Always confirm fees, deadlines and eligibility on the official portal before you act or pay.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use automated tools to scrape, overload or circumvent the rate and usage limits that keep the service free;
• submit unlawful, abusive or misleading content, or use Govvy to harm others;
• misrepresent Govvy's output as official government communication.

We may limit or block access that breaks these rules or threatens the service.

Trusted vendor listings

Service businesses may apply to be listed as a Govvy trusted vendor. Applications are reviewed manually and may be declined or removed at our discretion, including for inaccurate details, complaints, or conduct that would mislead citizens.

• Fee: a monthly subscription (currently ₹2,000 per month) billed through Razorpay and renewed automatically until cancelled.
• Cancellation: any time from the vendor dashboard. The listing stays live until the end of the paid period. Partial months are not refunded.
• Disclosure: paid listings are labelled as sponsored wherever they appear and do not change the ranking of other results.
• Your content: you keep the rights to your business details and photos and grant Govvy a licence to display them on the service. You are responsible for their accuracy and for having the right to share them.

Intellectual property

The Govvy name, mark, design and software belong to their owner. Government information linked from Govvy belongs to the respective authorities. You may share Govvy answers and guides for personal, non-commercial use with attribution.

Liability

Govvy is provided “as is”, free of charge, and without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Govvy and its operator are not liable for any loss arising from use of the service, including reliance on an answer, a missed deadline or a fee paid on an official portal.

Governing law and grievances

These terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.
